Fouad Tomb, a humanist painter and a committed educator
When talent meets passion, the result exceeds borders. Fouad Tomb’s commitment derives from his father’s legacy: Maroun Tomb, one of the main figures of modern painting in Lebanon! His son Fouad Tomb took the same path and became an artist. His career was based on a solid academic ground: a drawing and painting degree from the University of Quebec in Montreal, several seminars around the techniques of the great masters as well as multiple dialogue and practice workshops with colleagues in Canada and the United States. The sensitive and committed heart of the artist atomizes registers, juggles between movements, masters multiple techniques, adapts to all formats and adopts various means, which makes him an unclassifiable artist when it comes to prolific production. This beauty revealer has successfully exhibited his art pieces all over the world.
Arts & Renaissance, the establishment of the internationally renowned painter – who also happens to be an educator – and his wife May Ziadeh Tomb, has offered an unrivaled multidisciplinary experience for more than twenty-five years. A quarter of a century of practice led in 2019 to bringing together for posterity purposes this important pictorial and educational work within an institutional framework: the Fouad and May Tomb Foundation.
From his roots in the Middle East to his constantly developing expression, especially on the other side of the Atlantic, Fouad Tomb, citizen of the world, depicts in his art work the diversity of a world whose infinity might never be explored throughout an entire life.
